Out with the old, in with the new, I’m talking about years, of course. It’s been a while since our last newsletter so it has to be time for an update.

Helping Hands has supplied clothing, furniture, blankets and diapers for three separate Israel shipments. All of the items we supply goes to Jezreel International in New York, who in turn, includes these items in containers bound for The Joseph Storehouse located outside of Jerusalem, Israel. We also included two very nice Dental chairs to be shipped wherever they are needed.

We are starting to collect for our next Honduras and Israel shipments. We will also have some additional projects to help the orphans in Busia, Kenya and our hearts and minds will be tuned in to what God will speak to us as we move forward in his work. God’s word to me was “to do what I can do, and He would take care of the finances.” That’s what the Helping Hands Board and Donna and I intend to do.

I hope you have a great New Year!

Donna and I pray blessings upon you and that God keep you safe!

December 2015 Newsletter

Our second Honduras shipment was delivered to Pope Army Airfield on Monday the 14th. It was made ready to be loaded on an air transport plane and moved two days later to Charleston AFB. It is scheduled to arrive at Soto Cano AFB very near Comayagua, Honduras on the 29th of December. At which time the consignee, Sandi Burgess, of Bridge Ministries, will make arrangements to have the shipment moved to her warehouse to be made ready for distribution. This shipment consisted of clothing, furniture, canes, walkers, potty chairs, shoes, more dental chairs, dental stools, office chairs and a lot of other supplies. Helping Hands loaded twenty three wooden skids onto a tractor trailer. This load worked out at 7 Air Force pallets that made a total weight of about 12,000 pounds.

Some of you may remember the cow that we were attempting to purchase for our orphanage in Busia, Kenya. Our contacts there found a suitable cow but by the time I was able to get the funds together and get the money over there, that cow had been sold. We had to start the process of finding another cow. It also occurred to that me we should purchase a cow that was close to being ready to have a calf; otherwise, we would have a cow but getting no milk. The milk for the orphans was the objective to purchasing a cow. For those that may not know, if the cow does not have a calf, you get no milk. But once she weans the calf, they can just keep milking and she will keep giving. Because we wanted a cow to give milk soon, then we were looking for a special cow. She took a while to find, but this is her and she is in her new stall area that was completed about 2 months ago! Sorry, I don’t know her name, but she will calve in about two weeks. So there will be more pictures to come.
